I notice some members are uploading to Zippyshare.com
I checked it out and it looked real good, but when I read
between the lines..if a file hasn't been accessed for a
period of thirty days it is deleted..and as far as being a
post on LiteRECORDS it then becomes a dead link..

just wondered if everyone was aware of that...

I'm using mediafire, 4share and mega...
any other free fileshare company recommendations?

cheers, gill

I use mediafire but they seem to have started taking files down on DMCA request. I get around that by paying the 9$/month for a mediafire pro account. Looks like the only thing they take more seriously than these takedown requests is money. Good old capitalism......

I have used so many different sites, and they all eventually shut things down. Zippyshare has been the best to me, even with the 30 day limit. Just re-upload and your fine.

.
re-uploading is not an option for me...
I have too much stuff on here...

I just re-up as members tell me that a file is dead..
I'm just looking for a site that stays up longest..

thanks for replying

.....I tried a pill but I didn't swallow it fast enough and I got a stiff neck! he he

hey sounds similar to my experience with a 70 year old in a car...

:D

(stiff neck part ofc :p )

I've used several, I mainly use Mediafire which is not letting anyone but original owners download certain files because of Copyright Issues. So, I must say Dropbox, Google Docs, and Removable media are the best to save things for later use on. IF you want to provide downloads from Google Docs, people may need google accounts. I think I'd rather have several section of LiteRecords for people to keep things on, like Zippyshare though, they could delete the files after certain unuse date, or delete everything after a year?

Zippyshare is still the fastest and best 500mb and smaller free filesharing service around. Sendspace is old news and seems to be get bogged down a lot.
You can also check the anonymous box on ZS so people can't do a Google search and find your file. I'm actually kind of surprised ZS has lasted this long. They must have their servers on the moon or something lol

Zippy rocks... fk me buy a big hard drive or 2 and keep all your stuff.
It doesn't take long to re upload a file to zippy and edit your post if you've shared a file on here and the link has expired.

Hoots... look at the amount of mediafire accounts that just got wiped... everyones files gone.

I love zip.. wouldnt use any other hosting site...

There are also some nifty things to be had on zippy if you know how to look right. Screw all these mumbo jumbo foreign sharing services.

Zippy ftw

My opinion that im perfectly entitled to express :)

.
it's been two years and so far my mediafire stuff is fine..
same with 4share and also mega..

fingers crossed it will continue
