Was thinkin earlier, what if a group of us pulled togther and made a track? some of us have strong points and weak points, so i reckon we could make something quite unique.
we'd have to vote or make a mutual agreement on what genre.
Update: Genre is UK Hardcore

Sunny on melody
Kendo on bassline
Project Vee on pads & instruments
AAJH on vocals
Sunny on FX (crashes, uplifters, filters etc.)
Kendo on mixdown/EQ'ing
"such a person" on mastering
Sunny on pointing and laughing :D

The way we'd get around that people use different sequencers is that we'd have to export our "piece" to WAV and send it to the next person in line etc.

ok guys, what do u think? all suggestions are welcome.

Cheers for the input sunny ;) ye i'll put mixdown & EQ'in into 1. Imho i think there should be someone in charge of structure so that people know at what bar should change(intro 32 bars, breakdown 16 bars etc.) & to help visulise what needs to go where etc.

As I can't produce I will be the model that is used for the music video. I don't know what any of you look like, but I'm going to presume you're all too ugly for that role.
 
Sorry Billy, as director of said video I've decided there shall only be girls wearing next to nothing soaping each other up in the nicest ways possible. I might let you help produce it tho. :D

If we could find something older, something where we dont really have to worry about licensing etc that would be good. Or remix an original track by one of our presitgeous members. think thats how you spell it anyway.
 
I think were just guna do a remix first to see how it goes & if all goes well create an original. Remixing an original track from our members was sunny's idea can't really steal that lol. oh and it's spelt "prestigious" btw :D
 
You make a good point sunny, i will send out PM's etc. We all need to agree on what would be an ideal deadline though.
 
My thought would be drums first, very basic so the structure is laid out and you know where everything else is going to fit. The riff next with the bass shortly after, using the midi from those to create pads/orchestral stuff etc.

Of course if theres a vocal, then drums first followed by vocal then everything above in order lol.

Its the way I build all my tracks.
 
yep, ok regular deadlines, got it ;) we need to decide on what to remix.

Didn't see your post before morgan, ye thats the way i'd do it but i guess either way would be fine :)
