This is a major update to the LiteLABS stem extraction system.
Until now, LiteLABS focused primarily on producing a small set of broad, high-quality stems such as Vocals, Drums, Bass and Instrumental.
With v3.0.0 BETA, we’ve started moving towards a much more detailed production-style stem pack.
A typical extraction may now include broad parent stems such as:
The original high-quality parent stems remain available separately, so experimental stems do not replace the established LiteLABS output while this new system is being validated.
This allows the system to adapt the stem pack to the actual music rather than producing the same fixed list of stems for every track.
For example, a track containing saxophone or brass may receive additional wind/brass processing, while another track may not require that stage at all.
This is expected during the BETA while we determine which additional stems are consistently useful enough to become part of the permanent output.
Mashup Pack
A smaller, faster pack containing the essential stems needed for mashups and DJ edits.
Production Pack
A more detailed set of production-ready stems, including additional instrument and percussion separation where available.
Collection Pack
The most advanced option, allowing users to choose which stems they want extracted from a much larger list of supported instruments and stem types.
For now, v3.0.0 remains in BETA while we continue testing quality, speed and which detailed stems are genuinely worth including.

Smarter instrument detection
LiteLABS can now analyse the track and identify which instrument families are likely to be present before deciding which additional separation tools should run. This allows the system to adapt the stem pack to the actual music rather than producing the same fixed list of stems for every track.
For example, a track containing saxophone or brass may receive additional wind/brass processing, while another track may not require that stage at all.
Larger downloads
Because v3 can include the original parent stems plus additional experimental production stems, ZIP downloads can be considerably larger than previous LiteLABS stem packs. This is expected during the BETA while we determine which additional stems are consistently useful enough to become part of the permanent output.
What we're working towards
Eventually, we plan to offer different extraction styles depending on what the stems are being used for.Mashup Pack
