Google indexing and Search function

I was just wondering if a noindex meta tag is being used in recent iterations of this site, specifically, certain sections. I used to be able to use an advanced Google search to find things here easily. Since combining sub forums with their parent forums, it's been difficult, but not impossible. Google could find strings that the native search engine would completely ignore. I'd love to see a way to be able to effectively search this site, whether through a search engine, or simply helping the current engine be smarter. Just a thought.

You can find searching options here.

META data has been removed due to a loophole to bypass hidden content.

I never thought of that. But the fact remains some posts cannot be searched. If your keywords are too small or common, you'll have no luck. Try searching for: Mr. Big - To Be With You. Nothing.
If strings could be used or more advanced search functions were possible, these things might be searchable. I know you've busted yer ass getting problems fixed and new features implemented here lately, so I hope you don't take this as any kind of criticism, that's not my intention. I have no idea of what your backend is. AND, I am only looking at one small section of your sight. But you seem to have had success in getting posters to add tags to posts, maybe it would also be possible to have them order post titles in a way that was easy to aggregate? Just a thought, albeit not a complete one.

Cheers!

TBH dude the search function of vBulletin has pissed me off since day one. Even the developers find it a tedious function that needs a better algorithm.
