I must say I do like what you have tried to do here. It does kinda work but there is just something I dunno what it is.
But for a first mashup good job indeed

I listened to this yesterday. Like Griersondo, I also really like the idea of this combo. This is your first mashup, so you can obviously expect to make a few mistakes. There are quite a few clashy moments and the vocals haven't been placed in the right place. That said, you may have placed them to work better with the chord structure.

Either way, it certainly isn't bad at all for a first attempt.

i did try to make a significant EQ change for the vocals and a little better mix:

maybe it feels less strange now?

It will feel strange because the vocals are not sitting in the right place. It doesn't need EQ'ing
