Number 3 of the seasonal Bonk Wave releases is here, and it’s a biggy. This time the community collected 54 tracks in total, spread over 3 albums.
The amount of tracks submitted are starting to make us think we’ll have to come up with some other way of managing this. At some point, that’s just too much music to master, review, split up over albums, etc. But I’m sure we’ll figure something out.
The first two albums are the regular free-form submissions so to speak. The 3rd album contains the sample challenge tracks, where everyone joining in made a track from a fixed set of samples. There’s a banjo sample in this one. A frigging banjo sample.
I mean, how does a self-respecting electronic musician incorporate a banjo in his tunes? Well, you can find out in “Banjo Breakin” of yours truly, I guess.
On album 2 I also have a track. It’s kind of a crunchy half-time beaty track with a grimy synth on it. Can’t really slap a genre on it, so I guess it’s Bonk Wave.
