whats the best wav kick samples ?

To be honest my friend Toby Emerson has made the best kick drums I've ever used in my life. Check out the "Monster Kicks" pack on his sample label "Black Octopus Sound" link deleted

yup vengeance for me as well, so many good packs that cover almost every genre if not all of them within EDM
 
Personnally, ive bought the bla bla bla Sound, and these kicks bangs HARD...As for other, Vengeance seems like the ''M-Audio'' of samples, good sounding, but nothing incredible...That new Dubstep kits is hot tough, and...Simplosive Deep Kick arent bad too, SM101 Club Kicks are really nice too. The 2-3 last official kits from Hip-Hop producers Superstar O got also sum nice electro samples. Hope this help!

For the ''arent don't know what you are talking about either'', whats the point? no hard feelings or nothing, just wanna understand

OK...to elaborate,How can you say something sounds like "the something" of something else? ...this was in reference to your M-Audio remark and vengeance samples.M-Audio make equipment that doesn't produce sound,so how can that (ie a midi keyboard) sound like anything?

What exact M-Audio kit were you referring to....monitors? mixer? pre amp? sound card? What were you camparing it too?
Mackie,Alesis,Yamaha,Roland,Adam,Genelec,Fostex,Behringer.....and what piece of kit...?

No hard feelings,I just do not understand how you can make such a general statement,compare M-Audio to vengeance samples,and leave it at that.Studio gear falls into different price ranges also,just like samples do so its very hard to compare when taking cost into consideration.Also,a lot depends on the sound system/monitors used.

Sounded like a plug of those other samples to me....so dont do it again.

ok i understand...Well, just to elaborate what ive said, i wasnt directly comparing m-audio to vengeance, but sayin: Vengeance sounds are LIKE M-Audio to me= 1. M-Audio = Moderate quality, not too cheap overall but you can't compare a m-audio soundcard to a rme one, kinda like the industry minimal 2. Vengeance sounds = Same thing to me, the industry standart, but there's plenty of company who's offering really hi quality samples that you can't compare to vengeance's sample. Like the one's that ive said, but also from company like: modernbeats, urbanfire, sonic specialist, etc...I'm not affraid to say that i do use sometimes samples from vengeance tought. So, if i says statements about anything in the futur i believe ill have to elaborate more, just to make sure everyone's understand the meaning of my words ;) Pleasure

To be honest there is no such thing as industry standard.How can you say M-Audio or vengeance are industry standard? Have you carried out a survey amongst all the studios in the world? If so maybe you should post the results.Also back to what I said about monitor setups,a sound card sounds differently on different sound setups,so have you also done a study with all M-Audio's sound cards on many different sets of monitors in rooms with different acoustic treatment with all your different sample packs and all the vengeance ones?

So....first of you compare the two saying Vengeance sounds are like m audio bla bla bla kinda like the industry minimal yes? then you say Vengeance sounds are the same thing....the industry standard!

Make up your mind....industry minimal....industry standard????? You really aren't doing any young producers here any favours except putting them off and misleading them with your biased and single minded opinions.

At the end of the day,it does not matter what samples you use or monitors or sound card or plugins or hardware.If you are good you are good,and you will make stuff sound good with your skill,knowledge and ability in the studio regardless of your kit.

Just watch what you say please just because something is your opinion does not make it correct nor does it mean (especially with your 1 rep point and 9 posts) that you get to come trying to shove it down everyones throat.

.......Also for the record,whatever you are using (samples soundcard etc) on those snippets of songs on your soundcloud page do not back your point of view up.They really sound pretty basic,and repetitive,so I don't think you are the best qualified to be enforcing beliefs about samples and studio gear.

Here is something made with FL Studio,Nexus,Sylenth .......and wait for it......vengeance samples! By one of the top European EDM producers.



Oh and here is something made with cubase,nexus,sylenth,virus ti,UAD soundcard and plugins,T-Racks......and wait for it.........vengeance samples! By two of the Uk's leading Dance music producers.

Personally, I use a combination of Vengeance samples, samples from various record labels, or whatever I can dig up from Kontakt/Abbey Road. Layering is always key to get that thick oomph around 80-100Hz or so from one kick and that nice click on top from another kick. The best results I've gotten were to use a sample to get that 'click' on top and use synthesis to design the low end to design the low harmonics and dial in that oomph just right. Not saying that there aren't better ways of using samples to achieve that low end, this is just what I've found is most effective in getting that ideal kick sound in your head out into your DAW when producing EDM.
 
depends on what you wanna have. the advantage of vengeance is that you get Kicks that sound like already mastered. for live drums I can recommend steven slate drums. but never forget about layering the drums! that's the most important thing about creating a great kick.
