Not sure if this has been discussed yet and if this is the forum to discuss it in (admins feel free to move this thread if so) but I've just discovered this new stem splitter through Twitter, and it's very interesting

At this moment, it seems to be only available at the professional level ''(( (one of their clients was the podcast Song Exploder), but hopefully, it will become public someday

What do you guys think about it?

Very limited samples and probably cherry-picked to showcase the best ones.

I think it sounds 98% close to Spleeter/RX, could be just Spleeter with more up to date models. The UVR we have here also can output high-quality instrumentals, probably the best among all other methods publicly available.

Like Tayz said above UVR is hands down the best instrumental maker, making clear usable vocals from a song is a whole different ballgame. I think that technology is still a long ways off. Like I've said before it will likely involve some kind of smart emulation of the vocal frequencies. Like digitally re-singing the whole track based on the emulation.

I absolutely agree, UVR is without a doubt the best one i have ever used and leagues beyond what anyone else has got. And it is great when making stems using the uvr instrumental in demucs. This company seemed interesting and i just wanted to see what the experts thought about it.

Not to my knowledge, I've been using Colab for both UVR and demucs

The examples sound too unrealistic. As for the Spleeter comparison, I just discovered this a few days ago, and half a day later managed to install it. And it sounds nothing like Spleeter. Which to me sounds just like another filter isolator with weird artefacts. I ran a basic house/techno song through it, which I thought would give it a better shot, but it was a bit less than perfect. Perfect at telling you what volume the tracks should be if you have the stems for it.
