Does anybody have any idea of how to get the Def Leppard drum sound from Hysteria? I know a gated reverb has a lot to do with it but it sounds so much bigger than just that. The snare is what most people go for but the toms sound massive too. Did they layer samples or would it have been from a drum machine? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hysteria was recorded right after drummer Rick Allen lost his arm in an accident, so they rigged up an electronic kit that he could trigger with midi for the sessions. I think it was a Simmons see vid below.
