A "hello" and some links...

Hi all,

I'm new to LiteRecords, and have been a 'casual mixer' since my teens - almost 20 years ago (!!). I started out using video editing software to create my tracks (yeah, I know - Adobe Premiere was all I had available to me at the time) and a few years ago migrated to using Adobe Audition - this has allowed me much more flexibility to create the kind of mixes I've always wanted to.

I'm a big Michael Jackson fan, and so 99% of my mixes are of his music - predominantly extended and alternative versions that I get great pleasure from creating. The availability of some of his multitracks in the past few years has enabled me to explore greater variety and approaches to the way I create my mixes, whilst also giving me an insight into the genius involved in the creation of these songs in the first place. The mastery of people like Quincy Jones, Rod Temperton, Bruce Swedien etc is clearly apparent, especially when you dissect the tracks and strip them back to their core components. Reassembling such songs, and trying to accurately recreate the actual recordings further opens ones eyes to the magic that took place during those sessions.

If you're interested, I have a selection of my mixes available here (AIFF quality): https://mega.nz/#F!zJozxZTJ!yp5bFylLrzuayzXeKXJWVg

My YouTube channel is (please forgive many of the older videos): https://www.youtube.com/user/SingleWhiteGlove/videos

I look forward to being involved with you all in the LiteRecords community.
